Dance Intensive’ Auditions
Final Showcase at the National Eisteddfod Blaenau Gwent

Valleys Dance invite young people aged 14-25 years old from Torfaen, Merthyr, Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Caerphilly and Rhondda Cynon Taf to audition for a place on a four day dance intensive workshop to create a dance piece which will be performed at the Eisteddfod on the 6th August 2010. Deadline to register: Midday 11 June 2010.

Audtion Dates:
For dancers from Torfaen, Merthyr, Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly – 1st July 2010, 10am 1pm, Pontypool Active Living Centre, Torfaen.
For dancers from Bridgend & Rhondda Cynon Taf – 1st July 2010, 2.30pm -5.30pm, Ystrad Rhondda Sports Centre, Ystrad.

If selected to take part in the Dance Intensive, you will need to be available 2nd. 3rd, 4th & 5th August 2010 and on the 6th August for the performance at the Eisteddfod.

Rehearsal Venue – Merthyr College
Times: Pick up at approx. 9am – 6pm return each day (including travel times).
Support worker/Chaperone & transport will be provided by your local authority contact.
Contribution to travel/T-Shoirts: £10 per head.
The audition panel will consist of guest Choreographer, and representatives from Community Dance Wales and the Valleys Dance Partnership.

Valleys Dance is a partnership aimed at promoting Dance in the Valleys.
