Super Student’s Announced!

SIXTH FORM students from across the County Borough enjoyed an adventure day courtesy of Griffin Mill on Friday (14th May).

Every secondary school in Rhondda Cynon Taf was invited to nominate their Outstanding Student of the Year to compete with other students to win the coveted title of Rhondda Cynon Taf Griffin Mill Outstanding Student of the Year 2010.

Nominees met for the first time at Canada Lakes in Creigiau on Friday and enjoyed a day of team building and problem solving.

The Griffin Mill Outstanding Student of the Year event concludes in September with a prestigious awards ceremony, in which the winner is presented with a brand new car they can use for a year.

The students will now sit their exams and staff from Griffin Mill and Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s education department will determine three regional winners and one overall winner. He or she will be presented with a fully insured car for a year from Griffin Mill garages at an awards ceremony held in Cardiff in September.

The make and model of this year’s prize vehicle is being kept a mystery until the event, but will be selected from Griffin Mill’s range of Skodas, Peugeots, Kias, or even a Fiat.
