Becoming Independent @ Aberdare College
Are you thinking about moving out of home into your own place, moving in with friends, going to uni or just wanting to become more independent?
On the Becoming Independent Programme, you will learn essential skills to help look after yourself, keep your home/room clean, prepare and cook healthy meals, pay your bills and be a responsible tenant.
We will also support you to find work, courses, apprenticeships or training, whilst supporting your well-being.
The course is for young people aged 16 and above
