Whole System, Whole Heart

The Youth Wellbeing Officers for Taff West were approached by the Regional Nest Lead at the Cwm Taf Morgannwg Regional Partnership, to help launch Whole System, Whole Heart – their new regional children’s strategy. At the heart of this strategy are the voices and needs of children and young people and to help them bring it to life, our young people created 30 pieces of artwork during youth club sessions. The artwork displayed the thoughts, feelings and emotions of young people and were a visible and powerful part of the launch event on 21st November, attended by Minister for Mental Health and Wellbeing, alongside professionals from across health and social care.

The Whole System, Whole Heart strategy is about people across Cwm Taf working together with whole hearts and open minds to make real change. The aim is to improve how health, care, and community services support children and young people and Taff West team are proud to have been involved in supporting our young people to have their voices heard.
